I'm 18, car's insured under my name, clean driving record: never pulled over by a cop, never got a parking ticket, never got any type of ticket. Put around 7k-10k miles on my car a yr and have had this car for about half a year.

I can believe your high insurance payments. When I was 17, I was paying around $260/month for my old 94 Grand Prix.

+1. I knew an 18yr old kid in high school with a 230HP moddedMaxima and a 130IQ. Crashed it twice in 1 year. Once from racing and another just in regular driving. Bothaccidentshis fault. IQhas nothing to do with it. Driving has to do with experience, reflexes, eyesight, and awareness of your surroundings. I've already avoided a couple accidents by watching people w/o turn signals not look over their shoulder when changing lanes and almost hit me. Thank God I am a very safe driver and always aware of the cars and drivers around me.

you can be stupid in any kind of car, with any amount of power, it is not really a matter of that. you need to make sure you can actually control the car. I learned to drive on this car, and 210hp was a lot already. however, now I can totally handle the f/i no problem. it is all about experience. also, driving in the rain/snow is something that is totally different, so just because you can drive on dry days doesn't mean you can handle it in bad conditions.
