Default tire question

how many miles should the stock 16" BFGoodrich tires get. I'm at 32000 and all 4 tires are getting real close to being bald. the wear pattern seems to be pretty even across the tire.
and what whould be a good tire for a decent price to replace it with

Right now my Mustang has Pirellies, but on my other vehicles I have Michelin. My last Mustang ('82 GT) had 78,000 miles on the stock Mitchelins before I had to get new ones. I have had very good luck with longevity on Mitchelins.
Do you have state inspections?
You can always stop by a local tire dealer and let them have a look atyour tires. If you are a member of Sam's Club or Costco, they usually have good deals on a set of tires.

You definately don't want to ride around on bald tires......you would be asking for trouble especially if the roads are wet.

Honestly I would have gotten new tires before the 32k mark with the crappy 16" tires we have. I am about to get new rims/tires anyway and someone asked me why not wait till the ones I have are worn out? I told them I have 6500 miles on them, they should last another 6500 miles before needing replaced

They aren't THAT bad, but definately like 20-30k tires.
