auto shifter
I used to drive a 04 Jaguar X-type before the stang. I would manul shift all the time. AT LEAST 10 Times I threw it all the way to reverse and nothing happened. I just put it back in drive. I am not sure if this trnasfers to the mustang but that Jag was the biggest piece of **** I ever drove. You think the lag on the mustang 4.0 is bad, drive one of those turd buckets. So I would think if it all worked out on the Jag it will work on ours. By the way I had to put that thing in the shop about once a month.
Never had any lag with my auto...
Here's a bit of fun going uphill the other day...
Love the wife's reaction...

If you're shifting from 1st up through to drive, if you don't push the button, but just push the shifter up without pushing the side button, it clicks into each gear and once it hits drive, it clicks and locks and won't move without you pushing the side button so it won't accidentally go into reverse. Seems like common sense, but not everyone knows that.

Yeah, i was wondering why people were having a problem or how they accidently moved into reverse while shifting? I dont touch the lock button when i shift. Anyways i would loveeee one of these shifters, but im in Canada, so everythings a bitch for me to get.
I like mine, but I always liked to think about the auto shifter in the old camaro.. couldn't expect that to happen since it's a different animal
so I'm happy with what I got. would like to see that aftermarket stuff coming out anyway, give people more options.

At first I thought this would be cool, but, downshifting in an auto would be weird.
I'm sure theres a guide to shifting an auto on the net, but I'm so used to a 5 spd manual that up/down shifting would be crazy.

It's called engine breaking. Good for hills or when carrying big loads or on slippery roads (snow). It isnt good for your tranny if you do it often. Especially downshifting to first while moving. I wouldnt reccommend it for city driving unless you're at a complete stop and want to shift up.
