Default Two days with a single GT takeoff

and i am going to convert to Duals tommorow. I got the mufflers off of EBAY, for $15.50 cant argue with that. My muffler shop quoted me $85 to custom make an H pipe and they have the driver side hangar in stock. I am so excited is the sound alot louder from a single or is it about the same. Tommorow cannot come soon enough

a gt takeoff should be a must mod unless you have another aftermarket muff in mind already or a dual setup in the works. i can't imagine my car still sporting the v6 factory muff [:'(]. you can find gt takeoffs really cheap and you can install them yourself. better sound, better flow, better babes .

+1

I expected nothing more than improved sound (which i didn't like at first - i'm picky). But I did notice an overall gain (nothing dramatic) but a gain nonetheless. Seemed like the engine wasn't wheezing through a straw any more. I've got duals sitting in the garage... they'll be going on first chance I get.

it was very noticeable, It took about a day for me to be able to tell the difference. Start up and idle are awesome i love it and through the lower RPM's it sounds real well. I thought it would get a little ricey up in the higher rev's but it isnt as bad as i once thought. You should be pleased. I did not get a chrome tip yet but when i put it in the shop tommorow ill probably have them weld 4" inch chrome tips just like Sancho805's those tips are incredible.

Has anyone had problems with custom H pipes made from muffler shops?

I believe Sancho is running JBA mufflers, which actually come with 3" tips, not 4". The JBAs have pretty long tips which stick off the back of the car pretty far, but they only have a 3" diameter.

They still look awesome though. I spend a lot of time staring at Sancho's car in his sig picture. Very slick.

You could be picky and try and get the GT take-offs with the chrome upgrade package like I got. My GT take-offs are chrome tipped.
