Default Longtubes?

Anyone got any clips of longtube headers on our cars? Wondering, becuase I can't find any in the search function. Also, How much louder are they than shorties, even if they have cats?I would be doing thisfor sound only. Thanks for the help ahead of time!

Newbie question:

What is the difference between shorty and long headers?

Besides one being longer than the other, of course.

long tubes exit pipe extend further which eliminates your catalytic converters on a stock setup whereas shorties dont. shorties simply replace your stock exhaust manifold leaving everything else intact. correct me if i'm wrong anybody.

Nothing's final, just looking into it.But I have the stainless steel shorties(the one's that change colors over time I hear). Still, anybody got clips or how much of a sound difference(both with cats)I'd have over the shorties? Difference in hp doesn't matter to me, but if you know you could post that to.

at least the MAC longtubes sound bad. apparently the Stainless Works ones sound good, but you gotta be willing to drop at least a grand for them

Thanks for the help! Looks like I won't need Longtubes then for sound.

I have the MAC Longtube headers w/the offroad H-Pipe (they are supposed to be connect together) along with a pair of Eastern CATS and FRPP GTA mufflers and everyone thinks I have a GT. Sounds really good w/ no drone what so ever and no rattles.

I've had mine for 1/2 a year and they haven't changed colors yet, but people say they do. I don't know, I'm just waiting to see if/when they do.
