Default Engine Splash Sheild

Hey guys, I am tired of driving in the rain and hearing the screeching belts after going through puddles. I was wondering if the V6 2007 mustang has a splash guard available that goes under the engine to protect the belts. I found lower engine guards for the GT however I am not sure if they will work on the V6 or if the V6 has its own.

Thanks,
Michael

no itsnot just you...had this happen ina huge l.a. type puddle in the road when we had our bad rain a few weeks ago....i thought i broke something....iiprobabaly should not have gone thru the water...but....for thuis to happen the water has to be pretty deep... i wouldnt mind somthing like this just to protect the underside of my engine and what not...as long as it wouldnt contribute to produceing more engine heat...

i might add if its happening to you when its not raidingin or there is not a good amount of moisture inthe air..it may be a belt...get it checked if a timing chain snaps....welll..can you say rebuild or new engine....i had a frined years ago who had an old timing belt break...and let me tell ya its not pretty

The guard on the GT is not a splash guard, it is actually an air damn to force air into the radiator.

The screeching of your belts just means they got wet, its not a big deal, just try not to drive through deep standing water.

+1..... air dam/radiator air deflector

MustangsUnlimited has them if you
want to buy one. The GT fits the V6.
Interchangable.

Thanks for the replies. I have owned a few ford cars in the past and it seems that they had splash shields under the engine. That sqeeling of wet belts drives me crazy. I may try making my own and seeing how it turns out, if someone has done this please share drawings and accounts of success or failure.

Thanks,
Michael

Just buy the GT air dampener we are refering to, I think it was like 20 bucks. It will prevent alot of splash up even though thats not what it was designed for.

Any site reccomendations or anyone around Patrick AFB, Florida interested inletting one go?
Also, is the underside of the front end the same on the v6 and v8? I dont want to spend the $30 plus shipping for it not to fit......

Thanks,
Michael
