Just curious as to what tune everyone uses as a DD.

I have a 91 tourqe/perf/race from Bama and am leaning towads running the race daily. I love what happens at about 3000 rpms,, vrooooom!

Is it bad for my car?

I use Bama 91 torque as my DD.

I ordered the SCT from VMP with 87, 89, and 91 performance tunes. I ordered the 91 torque from Bama and replace the 87 VMP with the 91 Bama torque...Needless to say the Bama 91 torque has remained. Doug's tunesmanship kicks ***!

 

I run Vmp's 93 mileage tune all the time. Justine fixed it to run REAL hard but give good mileage on the highway. IT DOES!!!

 

I usually run my Bama 93 Torque tune but recently I have been using the 93 Race tune for my DD, yes the shifts are definetly firmer, what some may call a little rough for DD but I don't mind and love driving around with it , I would still say the 93 Tourque pulls the hardest but all around Doug's race tune is pretty amazing and fun as heck to drive on the weekends.

I run this tune as well. I also usually have my tuner in the car and can switch to his 93 performance tune at any time. This way I always run 93 octane and it is a simple matter of 15 seconds to have performance vs. mileage.

Although the 93 mileage tune is far superior in performance to the stock tune so it is a win win imo.

 

Can you honestly see a difference in gas mileage compared to a performance tune and mileage tune? I'm sure you can but I'm curious as to how much of a change it is.

 

how much mileage would you expect form an 87 mileage tune from VMP?
