Just thinking outside the box here.. but make sure all the connections to and from your C&L CAI are tight.

Got the stock tune and box in it at the moment. Did it the day I went to the dealer to make an appt. In case they could fit me in, yeah wishful thinking I know. I read about doing that, on brenspeed I think. You put the stock box and tune back in, when you get it back, you check your strategy(that you wrote down the day you installed the tunes) and compare it to whats in the car when you get it back. It's to check for a reflash of the PCM, if they did it without permission, or letting you know. It prevents messing up and losing the tune thats in the car. If you tried, from my understanding, to reload you canned tunes and they reflashed your car at the dealer, the tuner erases your stock tune, then tells you its not the same car, tuner and car effectively useless until you get the dealer to flash it back to stock, or your tuner can provide for tunes developed for the strategy that was recently installed. I don't know that much about it, but it sounded like sound advice, so I took it. Everything is good to go on the install of the stock box. Not too much you can mess up, one clamp, one bolt, 2 screws, one connector, one hose, return to stock.

Well I took the car to the dealer this morning for the leaky shock. I went and made this appt over a week ago, I get there, ask if its covered, told it is, remind them about the airbag recall... They tell me it'll be 2 hours max, so I say I'll wait. An hour later, they tell me it's ready. Sign out at the desk, read the invoice. They ORDERED the part today, and took .2 hours time for the recall. ARG... If Iknew that they didn't have the part, I would have ordered one myself, last week. So I get home and throw my c&l back on, go to retune, and it erases the module.... starts loading my 87 perf... then FAILS!! I about passed out! I checked the strategy before I started and it was the same one I had written down when I initially installed it. So I took a deep breath, turned the key off, disco'd the xcal, reconnect and tried again. This time, it took. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. No telling when they'll replace the shock, they will call I guess.... They sure as heck didn't tell me anything.

Sounds like the fuel filter to me. Did you buy the car used?

It is a 2007, it is not the fuel filter.

No, I bought it new. And with my 87 perf tune installed, it doesn't surge with the a/c on, I tried it today after the dealer. That explains why I really haven't noticed it before. I got it last summer, but only ran the a/c on trips, just rolled the windows down buzzing around town. Just one more reason to get these cars tuned.
