Default replacement for a shaker

So ive finaly had enough of my skipper 500 it has given me Bad disc for the past month. So im gunna replace it, i want something that will take up the entire place that the shaker did, i dont want an empty space underneath my new deck, and i kina want a touch screen or something that has a screen like that. Any one have any ideas

go with a doubledin eclipse. alpine, or pioneer. i actually have an alpine and it fits and looks great

Pioneer AVIC-D3 is a pretty good unit that quite a few stang owners here have installed

try going to crutchfield.com i used them many times, they are excellent!

will you have to replace the entire system if you swap the head unit? I know some of these newer factory systems only work with the stock components to discourage theives...anyone know?

To the stereo folks: how watts should I be looking for when shopping a replacement for my manufacture's stock basic system with four speakers? I have no clue about this area; please help?
