some will say yes. but from the prospective of been there done that.... the short answer is no.

I have a flowmaster A/T and i cant tell any difference in it either. Some will say you get +10 horses. I say bs. The only difference Ive seen in my car from real trial and error is a tune/cai. you can see my mods in the sig. JMO.

I thought some people dyno'd and found 5-10 hp increase. I don't know the exact number, but the sensation of such a muffler over the stock MAKES YOU FEEL faster. It really doesn't matter unless your taking it to the strip, or going F/I, or just trying to squeeze out power.

I had the GT single on for a few days before I put my duals on and besides a little sound I didn't notice and performance gains, very minimal if any. Once I got the duals on I noticed a big difference.

i never had a gt takeoff, but getting a free flowing exhaust helps. i went straight to duals and noticed a gain. no dyno proof, but i could tell it helped after i got the heavy 20's put on.

I noticed a slight performance gain, the sound was a lot better than stock though. The thing is, you should go duals if you get the GT Takeoffs, sounds a lot better and much more free flowing.

VMP claims a 10 horsepower increase at the wheels by just adding the single GT takeoff
https://mustangforums.com/m_3231444/tm.htm

"The last component is a GT Muffler, it is a direct bolt in for the 05+ V6 cars. We have seen gains of 10-12RWHP from the muffler alone. We have seen no gains from dual exhaust on NA cars. The muffler is slightly louder and has a polished 3" SS tip." Justin

I have a single gt takeoff, and it does sound much better, but I don't feel any difference in power, but I suppose you won't really feel 10 hp very much, if that is the actual gain.

As long as it's a M/T GT Muffler you'll feel a gain but it's not huge, it's worth the $50 you pay for it though. No point in getting a A/T GT Muffler, there was a whole thread about it, search and I think it should pop right up. Tyler

YES you need the M/T GT takoff
or its a waste of time IMHO.
GT M/T Muffler part # FI-7849-R
The # isembossed right into the skin of the muffler.
Here are some interior pics of a V6 and a GT muffler.
You do the math. It also sounds mucho bettero than the OEM V6 muff.
eBay $5 + S/H ($20). It will do until I get the do ray me
for a proper FRPP axleback or a Bassani or something.
It really opens up above 3K RPM but it is mild enough
to be neighbor friendly when firing her up at 6 in the morn.
I gurgles like a V8 at low takeoff speeds much more than
the OEM V6 mufflers.
