do u trust ebay?
ive been looking some parts for my car and theres alot of nice stuff. but im afraid to spend my money on a20.00 pair of1/4 window louvers and have it shipped to me in 100 pieces. what do u guys think. would u trust the cheap stuff?
You are asking 2 different questions...
The first, as the post title says "do you trust ebay?"
to which my response is yes--to a degree. I have bought and sold tons of things on that site, and been happy with the majority of the items.
you are asking if you should buy a certain product from a "sketchy company" that uses ebay to market their products. as you said yourself, it is sometimes "the cheap stuff." Most times you get what you pay for. Lots of people have purchased things like louvers online from ebay and loved them.. others have not.
its a win or lose, just like any other company. just make sure they have a good return policy.

I do trust ebay and I don't. LOL
For buying 'hot' items like the latest game system when it's still hard to find in stock or the iPhone when it first came out NO I do not trust it and I will never purchase a 'gotta have it right now' item from ebay again. I got burned trying to get my son a PS3 for the first Christmas it was out and it was a long, drawn-out, PITA process to get a paypal refund.
For purchasing more mundane things and for selling just about anything I do trust ebay. I only buy things that aren't priced 'too good to be true' and from a reputable seller with LOTS of feedback plus 98% or better overall ratings.
Usually if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Don't waste your time. It's NEVER worth the hassle if it goes wrong.

As for e-bay, look at their feedback. I don't trust anything less than 98% and nothing less than 99% if they don't have more than 200 in feedback.
You get what you pay for.

i buy and sell regularly on ebay...
my advice is to check the sellers rating....also send em an email and ask questions....
i would be suspect of 20.00 louvers...but i had some painted scoops i sold for less than i paid, but i decided not to add them soooo.... i sold em for much cheaper than they cost...however....i am always suspect of super duper cheap items....i would be inclined to spend the extra cash to buy from someone who is reliable and has a good rating on ebay...
i am a power seller and sell regulalry....
so yes i trust ebay...thats not to say i havent had a scam or two pulled when buying or selling...but i have always had positive results when this has happened...
just excercise caution...and like i said...sometimes its worth a few extra bucks for peace of mind.
my 2 cents

umm. if it has lots of partsor is easily breakable. no. the only thing i was scared to buy from ebay was an amplifier, that thank god didnt end up being used or refurbed and i got a sick price on it too cause it was "last years model". but ive bought sway bars and other random things from them and everything has turned out good, but if youre planning on spending money buy it from someplace that will send you emails back. if they dont it means they dont care and are only looking for money.
