Cool, I checked all those sites out and looks good. How hard was the installation and did it make any improvement?

Install wasn't real hard. Hardest part is getting the stock shifter out of the car.
Improvment in shifting accuracy and throw length is greatly improved. It does take more force (strength?) to shift than the stock shifter and of course there is the famous rattle that some of us (not all though) have experienced around the shift ball.

has anyone used the pistol grip ot T-handle? i was trying to decide between the two, and am trying to figure out if either are hard to work with, or if one feels more natural then the other...

I'm not a fan of the t-handle but I have read some posts form other members that have it and love it. They say it's good.

would you reccomned this for a daily driver...i really would like it...but if it will harder on the tranny im concerned.....i like the stock shifter...but it feels a little sloppy in 2nd gr.....also could you use the stock boot and handle for this, or go with a different ball/handle.....im black so id probably want a black one....one person suggested cutting a hole in an acutual 8 ball and using it...but it would be too big...and im not that mechanically inclined...mind you i would have this installed.....but my questions are above if you will....

thanks...

Im no expert on this but pretty sure with the hurst you have to get a different handle. If you get the MGW I am pretty sure you can keep the stock shifter/boot. They do make black ***** for the hurst but the white ball comes with the hurst so would have to order it separate.

I got the Hurst. I like it, but it has no adjustability. The MGW is more expensive, but you can adjust the amount of throw reduction a bit, and the handle has some adjustments. Hurst offers the black ****, MGW offers replacement handle assemblies in white and black. Someone asked about the pistol grip. I bought one and tried it, looked stupid, stuck way up in the air, very out of place. It allowed extra leverage, but at the same time the throw length got longer. It was installed for only an hour. Haven't tried the T-handle, probably won't. I don't think you can reuse the stock handle on the Hurst. I didn't try. Hurst did make a version to keep it looking stock for the GT, but not for the 6. I don't know if it is worse on the tranny. I can't see how it would be. Mines a DD, I've had no problems, except for the handle bolts working loose and rattling. I got some loctite and tightened them back down and have no problems since.
