Default 9.52 ET!!!

..... in the 1/8

Took the Grabber to the track on a 93 tune, no muffler, no spare and running 98 octane ( 94+ a little nitrometh) and got a best et of 9.5290 and my 60 ft was 2.0899 [ No thanks to stock tires and pressure]. I also had a 13 sec pass cause the open diff. decided to burn rubber down the entire track, haha. Over all I was happy, now i just need a 8.8 with some 3.73's ; )

Nice times there. I was at the track last weekend as well and my best time was a 9.611....I was almost at 9.5 my goal for the night. But I'll get it next time. Just need to get my 60' times down. I pretty much have the same setup as you.

Cool, Had a lot of 9.6's and a few 9.5's, I figure with a tlok, gears and some drag radials I would have some decent et's

What was the benefit of using 98 octane fuel? Did you advance the timing 4 more degrees?

I dont know, thought it might help. I've seen a couple of 1/8 mile times here and they are just a little slower, so it might have helped, haha.

Good job getting out to the track! You are correct - gears, LSD, and DR's will shorten your 60' and improve your ET.

I wouldn't get an 8.8 rear though if you're not going with a power adder; the extra weight will probably hurt more than the lsd will help.
