i want to upgrade my door subs to something more powerful and somehow use a better amp with them too.. Best way to go?
I wouldnt do it. The doors are pretty full of rattles as it is. There are not many options for subs to fit in that spot without modifying the door panels themselves either. If you want more/better bass, find something for the trunk

i have a 15' kicker in the trunk with a 600 watt amp. i might sell the woofer and go with a more efficient one... i have the 15 in place of the spare btw. its massive

TURN THEM INTO MID-BASS DRIVERS WITH CROSSOVERS.

Bass is onmi directional and you will not notice any more bass from door subs
than that 15" is pumping out in the trunk. Just more buzzes and rattles from
the door subs if you go that route.
