very sad...
ok i'm movin to a new house, and my new house doesnt have a garage only a drive way, i live in michigan and pretty much it snows heavily all winter long.. i have a convertible mustang and the top will get ruined under the heavy snow, now i need to get ride of my car

, i just got it not even 2 months ago.. i really like it, no complains except its a bit slow but i really like it, it will be a blast summer time but i need to get ride of it now because there will be no demand for it winter time...

I miss michigan. But i dont really miss the snow. Have you thought about building one of these?

They come in all different sizes and they are only like 200 bucks i believe depending on where you get it, and it will protect your baby

i cant build a garage, there is no room for it, but thats what i was thinking too, i might just buy a coupe, i really want a gt, too much insurance, and gas though.. but still its a rear wheel drive will be hard in winter time.. i found a very nice grand prix today, 2007 grand prix gt supercharged for $16.8, but i wanted a gxp or a gto....
could just build a lil carport not too much and it'd be pretty easy to do...like settin up a tent...why will it ruin your top? caveit in or something?i see lots of verts here in iowa that drive in the winter and we get a bunch of snow, too...
here in mi, its snows heavily, it snows too much it becomes very heavy specially on the soft top.. i think it would ruin the top... but i really like the car, i really dont want to sell it, but a coupe would do it i think... not sure yet...

You can go to a local auto store (o'reilly's, pepboys, autozone etc) some of them sell small car ports that are for 1 car. They have a tough canvas top and you can setup that to take the abuse during the winter.
Problem solved.

Here is a carport website.
http://www.tristatecarports.com/
We have purchased one from this place and are VERY happy with it. They set it up for you and guarentee it from the elements, and they have the heavier duty aluminum for the snow load purpose. We actually had to go with the heavy duty because of our 75+ mph winds we get and the carport doesn't even creek! Best part you can choose colors to match your house, like we took the whitetop with dark grey trim, so the thing isn't a total eyesore in the front yard. Now as for the city knowing about it, I think you will have to talk to them. The worst they will do is tell you to pull a building permit, shouldn't be too much for this. **They can't say that you can't have it because although it is anchored into the ground (4' anchors!) it is still classed as "portable and not a fixed unit". A garage is a "fixed unit". We are supposed to have a 10' clearance from our property line, incase a fire truck has to get thru, but because the carport is "technically" portable, we have it in that area.
Do you have room for something like this?

Hope this helps,
Good luck!
