What about the gas cap? I put a locking gas cap on it and took the stock off.
I bought a locking gas cap from AutoZone. The rubber ring is not fit the opening of the gas tank tight and the gas cap light is on. I returned it and bought MotorCraft locking gas cap for Mustang 2005.The MotorCraft is perfect. If the gas cap light on and you put the stock gas cap back, it takes one to two days for the light is OFF depend od how long you drive.

It was my understanding that new cars these days ( Im assumming our Mustangs qualify ) are built with gas tanks with acurved/angled fuel delivery pipe as to not allow a hose or something like that to reach the tank....hense, no chance of stealing gas....

They don't steal gas. I am afraid of bad neighbor to put sand or sugar into my gas tank. It is more dangerous than stealing gas.

Someone said athat Advanced Auto will read the codes for you. You may want to check them out. The only other option is to take it back to the dealer.
