new hood, need input
hey all, i recently just had a post between ducktail or gt500 spoiler and i've decided on the gt500 with some of your guys help so thanks for that. with that aside, i was planning on changing my hood scoop but i've scrapped that idea to just install a new hood in itself altogether. i WAS planning on the heat extractor hood from Cervini's but after coming across the shleby CS6 hood (which i believe is similar if not the same to the shelby gt-h hood) i'm once again stuck between two. i was leaning heavily towards the Heat extractor until i came across the CS6 so i would just like some of your guys feedback. all input is appreciated!

RE: new hood, need input
i think it looks great! i have been looking for a cool hood and definetley is badass
only one suggestion is to finish up the rest of the car, cause the front looks sick no lie, but as you go towards the back of the car gets kinda plain. if thats your plan then great, if not thats my suggestion....im in the same boat have to balance out the car

I agree that your front is awesome and you should get a new rear bumper or somethin. But if you are set on getting a new hood, keep in mind the cs6 hood is not functional unless you wanna cut a hole in it, which then you gotta worry about water just flowing down into it since its basically one big drain. Its bad4ss nonetheless.

I'm with ya on the CS6 and I think that it is the sickest front bumper/grill combo out there...but once I do get it I am going with a functional hood...like the heat extract, or maybe the saleen hood...go with functionality

mm.. i don't really care too much for the functionality of it. i was initially turned on by the heat extractor but after seeing some better pictures i'm a bit more leniant towards the CS6 now.
as for the rear of the car i'm well aware haha i'm planning on a gt500 rear bumper/spoiler as well as the possibility of rear window louvers.

Nothing is functional on modern cars kids, theory only.
Not even a Shaker, like I have.
The air has to travel too far to add real HP. The flow is too weak by then.
In the old days, it was a direct feed to the carburetor so the efficiency was there.
Heat extractors are good for FI cars IMO, as you generate more heat in the engine bay.
Especially Turbos.
The CS6 hood is a good looking one and only a few have it. I like that.
