Hey Guys,
I have been wanting to paint my rims since ive never been happy with them but i dunno which way would look best. I have a few hours free today and would like to get it done. I made a few mock ups to see which one i like best but i cant decide, which one do you think looks best?

Black with silver lip


Black All Around


Dark Gray/ Gunmetal

I can't really see a difference between the first and third pics. I'm not fond of the second pic. The yellow stripe kinda cheapens the look, IMO. To be honest with you though I really don't like those rims... there's many others that you could get in black that will look a lot better, but if you like them that's all that really matters. Dare to be different!

 

The black rims are too fadish...and will look terrible ina couple years. They also make the wheels look much smaller and your sidewalls stand out.

I dont like any of them personally...but if forced to pick...number 3.

 

Thanks, I wasnt really crazy about the all black either. What yellow stripe is it that you dont like? And trust me, Ive hated these rims since the moment i bought the car. If i could get new ones I so would. I wanted to get the bullitts from the dealer but my parents were like oh these ones arnt really that bad[>:] Thats what i get for not makin my own decisions i suppose

 

There is a weird yellow line going around in the second pic, on the left side of the wheel, I think that is what she is talking about. IMO I left the lip unpainted because I thought it looked better, if you like the all black look that is up to you. Either one is a +1 from the stock rims.

 

Oh i see it now, lol. I must of messed up somethin in photoshop. Lookin at it now i kinda like the all black ones but i dont want the wheels to look like spares. Eh looks like i better think about it some more. Avalanch3 i like your wheels

 

Id go for the black with the silver lip, and then get the chrome knock off center caps like i have in my sig..it would bring it out quite a lot.
and i have to say, you have an amazing looking car!!!

 

If I had your car... I would choose the 2nd all black option...
I would make that thing all 'murdered out'[sm=smiley16.gif]

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I think you are all right, and im going to try something different and paint the whole rim black. Murdered Out FTW But now should i go shiny black or flat black to match the stripes? My only problem with the flat black wheels is they might look dull and old. I dunno.

But my black wheels will definitely go with my black billet grille i put on there today.
