Default I know, this gets asked all the time.

Hey guys. The gf has an 06 v6 and wants to get a new axle back system. However, we are poor college kids and can't afford much. What are you guys' opinion on the best bang for your buck axle back. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

Are you wanting duals? You'll need an X or H pipe + mid pipes along with some GT takeoff mufflers.

Check this out....it what I have. It's from V6Mustangstuff.com. If you tell them you are a member you may get it for less;

Pypes Performance 2005 + V6 X-Pipe and Mid Pipes
Part# SFM65
Includes 2.5in street legal 409 stainless steel X pipe, 2.5in 409 stainless steel midpipes, 2.5in stainless steel clamps, and (2) 304 stainless steel oem style Axle Back hangers. Great for use with our OE takeoff mufflers.
$285.99

+1 on GT takeoffs, Pypes is good for going with a dual set-up, so is the Ninosport dual conversion...

Exhaust on a budget.....GT takeoff exhaust is your best bet

That's confusing...

So are you guys looking for a dual exhaust setup or just a single muffler to replace the one already on the car?

If dual exhaust then like they said about the Pypes system, or a GT take-off conversion.

If you are just looking for a muffler to replace the stock one then the GT take-off is your best bet.
