HIDs
Has anyone done the conversion to the HID lights or gotten them on the newer stangs (07-08)?
I am just wondering how they are at night in the rain. I know bulbs with the blue tint to them (had a set of Luminis, but couldn't see on wet roads) reflect a bit on wet surfaces and don't give off the best lighting for driving. But don't know how the HIDs hold up on wet roads. Thanks

RE: HIDs
Not sure where that info comes from about HIDs and foul weather. One of those weird Internet rumors that gets propagated for no reason.
I have the 35W 5000 setup from Retro Solutions...the BEST money I have ever spent. hey are close to my wife's Lexus' lights in overall quality. Night visibility is just amazing. Rain, snow, bugs...whatever...they are pure brilliance on the road.

Blue tint bulbs don't work that well in any conditions. Add bad weather, and it just gets worse.
A true HID lamp is not just a fancy blue light. The foul weather performance is excellent. They make the fog lamps almost obsolete.

Ooops...meant..."newer pics with HID in mky CAI...
Here they are:

Bottom line...even on the 08's I have experienced not one "flash" from other drivers. I have driven at the car with my wife in the Stang and they look like OEM lights for sure. The cutoff is clean with no blinding.
They are BRIGHT...driving side-by-side with another car, you really get a feel for how much brighter they are. The other cars barely throw any light on the road, and these look like a landing light on an aircraft.
Very happy with Retro Solutions. Good folks and fast shipping. The kits are priced well too.
