Default 18's with no drop?

I'm thinking it's time for some nice new summer rims, and since 18's have way more selection than the 17's, I figure that's the way to go.

So, has anybody put 18's on their V6 and not lowered their car? How does it look? Pics?

I don't want to lower my car at this time because it's a DD and has to go all winter (so I need the extra clearance for the snow and whatever), but I'm not sure how the wheel-well gap will look with 18's. I know 20's look retarded if you don't lower your car (especially with the higher, less-aggressive bodylines on the V6), but I thought maybe the 18's wouldn't be so bad.

Those wont have the same rolling diameter and are actually smaller
than the OEM 235/50-18. Does your speedo read faster than you
are actually going because of the smaller tires having to turn more
revs to go the same distance as the OEM tires?
I went 255/45-18s for the same rolling diameter but a wider tire as
Ford should have put on the OEM 18x8.5" rims in the first place.

I am going to go with 18 chrome I think...just have to figure out what I am going to do with the OEM takeoffs. I hate to say it...but I think I am going to make the TPMS PVS bomb...or put them in the spare tire.

Do the 17" bullets (GT style) that come on the Pony premiums (the ones in my pic) have any value? I was thinking new with new tires would be $500ish...is that about right?

That would make the 18's easier to swallow.

Thanks 157dB...the set of chrome for $777 looks decent...I can then remount and reuse my tires and TPMS and be done.

Dang it...there goes another grand...but I LOVE those bright rims!
