Many many people are pushing 300 with Superchargers and turbos easily. Our engine can handle safely around 400 Horsepower without forged internals I believe. The best 1/4 mile runs people have reached in our 4.0 is in the 11s but that was pushing it.

400hp flywheel i would call safe, but 400rwhp i think is starting to skate on the edge.

ive been up to mid 400s rwhp but only a couple times as im worried it will pop.

i daily drive in the 350-370rwhp range for over a year now.

and lance went 11.02 on the stock block and todd went 10.9 on a built one.

ohh, wow. Good to know, bc im looking for about 400 but i really like my car and what i've done to it so far. I was thinking a twin turbo kit, (ported heads, needed/usefull?), a new cam,new pistons...to a safe 400fwhp

Don't really need all that. A single turbo will get you at 400 horse at about 11psi alone.

You will find that an auto tranny is more suitable for drag racing...
So nothing to be ashamed of.

Most of us prefer a manual (except in heavy traffic) because of the fun in shifting for daily commute.

I wouldn't mind some kind of tiptronic in my car though.
