Ford 3.73 gears
Does anyone know where I can get the 3.73 gears make by ford? I've been able to find everything except them. I had heard they quit making them for the 7.5 rear end, but was hoping someone would still have them. I've already got the t-lok just sitting in a box. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
Ok, I've done some calling around and what I've been told is that Ford outsources most of their gears. I was told that I can buy the gears with the ford name on it but they'll still most likely be Motive gears anyway. Anyone else heard this?
Im not an expert but there are two fords: ford racing and Ford oem.
Ford racing does outsource and some gears do come from motives, also Ford OEM outsources and i think they come from yukon. I can guaranty the link I provided are actual oem ford gears. I can take pics tonight of my factory 3.23 and 3.73 gears purchased from the link i provided you if you want? The stampings on each set are the same.

Are these the ones you're talking about. I found them in the 3.8 section, but we both have the 7.5 inch rear end so they should work right?

ford OEM's come from U.S. Gear http://www.usgear.com/
they also produce OEM's for GM and Chrysler. here is a site that sells them for a fair price
