Default INstalling LED Lights Under Dash

Hey guys. I want to install LED ligths under neath the dash where the passengers and rivers feet are but im not sure where to get power from. I dont want constant on. I just want them to come on and turn off when the doors are open and closed. Just like the sequence of the map light.. Where do i tap into or what fuse do i tap into to get such results. This is in a 07 mustang v6

Get the wire that is going to be taking power to the lights...Run it through the firewall by the drivers feet through into the Engine bay. Run the wire to the fuse box. Make sure your wire has a fuse in it, if not get one. Connect the ground cable to the body of the car and get a O shaped clip to go on the posotive side of the wire. Look at your fuse box and take off the lid. Disconnect the battery and look ad the back side of the fuse box. you will notice like a bolt sticking up with a nut on it, unscrew the nut and loop the lights wire rond the bolt. re connect everything and you should have power

I never thought about wiring them up like that, I just thought maybe you can splice into your headlight so when theyre on your inside lights are on. Is this possible?

both of these should work well in theory. Just depends on if this is actually used to power the LEDs or just use the wire as a "turn on" indicator.

Well I know where to plug them into to power them and yea use the headlight splice in for the "turn on" I also have my fog light harness spliced into the headlights and I have them plugged into the fuse box and there is other open tabs.

Mine have their own power module, theres a switch to turn them off and on and a mode switch to change colors and a Music switch to get them to pulse to music.

Ill make a post later with pics and a video of mine.
I got them for like 30 bux and i thought if they look like rice, ill just not turn them on but they dont look too bad lol
