Default fender emblems question?

Has anyone removed there "Tri-bar pony" emblems and replaced it with the "4.0 High Performance" Emblems. I'm asking because I plan on changing them but I don't know if it will cover the holes on the fender? Thanks MF

From what I know, there won't be any holes behind the ponies when you take them off...I could be wrong but, I think they're stuck on by double sided tape??

Here ya go, middle of the page...

Let me know if you're interested in getting rid of those Tri-bar ponies

The tri bar ponies use both double sided tape and allignment pins. I have 2 spare OEM's Pony emblems and there are pins. They were purchased in 2007.

Don't get rid of the tri-bar pony emblems! Those are classic Mustang symbols! My mom's '68 had them in the same spot, I wish my '05 had them

Mine came without fender emblems and I added them.
There are two holes in the fender behind the emblems
on the PonyPackage 05-09s. If it has an emblem, it
has alignment holes, period.
The 4.0 emblem will have a hard time covering the
OEM alignment holes.
I love the V6 WITHOUT the fender holes as I have the
option to stick whatever I want there without worring
about covering OEM alignment holes.
Here are some pics of what you are dealing with.

I agree...it is the classiest part on the car.

I wish it has the tribar with a "245" on it...that would have been a quality touch by ford.
