Need some help
I found a place who will do my gear swap....
understand that I don't know a lot about cars....
I have 2008 V6 pony package..I want to swap out the gears for the 4.10.
The shop said I need a install kit along with the ring and pinion and gears..
I went to American Muscle...they don't offer a install kit for the 7.5 rear end, I only see the option for the 8.8 rear...

Is this all I need to get it done?
Thanks

You need the 7.5 install kit. You would be better off looking for a performance shop that can do it all without you purchasing the parts.
I went in with my stang, and they provided the gears, the t-lok, and all parts to get it done. They charged me $700 for everything. Seems much easier than trying to scramble for all the parts and then take it into someone.

just get this; its the install kit plus the bearings.

I spoke with American Muscle and they said since my car is under 60,000 miles, they can use stock parts to swap gears.... I don't need the install kit....
I am going to a place here in Florida called Modifications Unlimited...anyone hear of them?

You dont "have to" replace the bearings, but pulling them off can damage them, and then you would HAVE to have one (or more). And it's best and cheap to just replace them anyway. If its just a gear swap, then yes, you could get by with just getting the inner pinion bearing and race and let them use that on the new pinion gear; with just a gear swap, the differential carrier bearings can be left on and reused. But if you are getting a t-lock or different carrier put in, get new carrier bearings, too.
(My last gear swap I did just the above, replacing only the larger inner pinion bearing and nothg else, but the rear end only had about 3000 miles on it.)
