I just got the chin in the prep condition, I wasn't sure whether to paint it gloss black to match the car or to go with a matte black. If anyone has pics of the car with a cdc, go ahead and post them...thanks

I just got mine to. I'm going to try to paint it flat black myself cause i'm low on cash and it'll cost about 10 dollars.

Unless you are going with painted rockers, I say flat. My Fang would look weird if it was gloss... the flat black matches the rest of the plastic stuff on our cars.

Krylon Fustion Camomile's ultra-flat black paint FTW. It's what I've used all three times I've painted my fang and it works brilliantly.

hows everyones paint holding on these?...does it get chipped off often? I dont know why there aren't any black plastic chins like the 04 mach 1 had.

Two things: 1st- I was concerned about the paint chipping from road debris, so I left mine unpainted. I think it matches the black plastic rockers well.
2nd- What do you mean, why aren't there any black chins? The CDC classic that I bought was made from black plastic. I bottomed it out a little and its black under the surface too.

hmm thats what i wanted, cdc's led me to believe theres the unpainted " raw" chin, or one thats painted textured black for 100 bucks more. under which description would u put yours? was that mentioned when u ordered?
