Default Need advice on buying

I've been looking for a silver new generation v6 Mustang and it's so hard to find exactly what I want. You wouldn't believe it but I haven't found a single manual transmission v6 silver 2005-2008 Mustang with less than 30,000 miles for 6 months. I didn't even consider a different color until today when I saw a beautiful yellow 2006 with only 20,000 miles. And I started thinking about how cool it would look with boss graphics and a GT grill and rims. What's your opinion on the yellow bosses? Should I pick up the yellow one which is everything I want (v6, low miles, manual transmission) and make it a boss or just wait for a silver one to pop up?

It's your car man, your decision.

personally I would wait for what you really want (silver one).

you gotta look at it every day...

the grabber yellow looks really good though. I hated it at first and now that a buddy of mine has one its grown on me.

its all about patience! I think I waited 9 months for a vista blue pony package manual transmission black leather interior. if you wait good things shall come! but on the other hand yellow is a very exotic looking color

That is good advice, but keep in mind the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get a low mileage car. You don't need to rush out just buy something, but you do need to keep in mind that you can't wait forever

We looked for a good 6 months before we found what we were looking for, and we bought new! With 35 mustangs to choose from in the local area only 2 were 5-speeds. They had to get ours delivered from another dealer, and it is nothing special, we simply wanted an Alloy 5-speed. We were getting ready to go home (PA) and look when this one popped up. I say if you have been looking that long you should know what you are looking for so if you will be happy with the yellow, then go for it. Everyone wants the automatic transmission... I don't get it.

One of my requirements was an auto tranny.

Case & point:

I drove a 5 speed for 15 years, I drive 50 miles a day in Houston rush hour traffic, my leg was killing me. It is a very nice change of pace to have an auto

At times I miss a 5 speed, but I wish I could change between the two.

honestly i say get the screaming yellow. Its an awesome color and I am more than certain it will grow on you in due time. trust me a silver mustang is like a black one u see em all the time. be a lil bit more unique than most and go with the yellow, and do a boss tribute if that's your desire. and if you really want a silver one you can always paint it...

I would aslo go with the yellow just because the silver color is rather generic and it would look amazing if you turned it into a boss.

Thanks for all the helpful advice guys. It is true that good things come to those who wait, but the truth is I just recently saw a yellow boss Mustang before I posted this and it blew me away. They look so nice. I think I'm gonna go with the yellow. All it would need is the boss stripes on the side and hood, some quarter panel window louvers, maybe some new rims and a grill and it'd be perfect. What kind of bill am I looking at for all of the boss upgrades?

I guess I'd have to rethink the 5-speed as well if I had that drive! I was speaking for myself in my previous post, since I do not drive mine daily I want the sportyness (is that a word) of the 5-speed. I was shocked when I saw such a small percentage of manuals out there when we were looking. To each their own.
