Default Dual Exhaust without Pipes?

Hi,

I am wondering if I buy a GT rear bumper and driver side hangers could I mount the driver's side muffler without the pipe backing it, using collars on the hangers to prevent the muffler from sliding? I already have the drives side muffler, thus I am considering this.

Thanks,
Mark

your talking about just putting the muffler there with no piping ran to it right? or fake dual exhaust....if you are, then yea it can easily be done...the rednecks around here do it all the time, but you should really get piping ran to that muffler, its not gonna cost you that much....i bought a pypes x-pipe, 2 m-80 mufflers, and 2 tips from pypes, then i took it to an exhaust shop to have it put on, and they had to run all new 2.5" pipe, and it was only like 100 bucks for the new pipe and labor, and ive always been told that its not really a mustang unless it has dual exhaust anyway.

Why would you do that? Spend the extra money on a X pipe which costs $100 and a mid pipe which costs around $50...

Do it right, not ricer.

Not to mention it would sound 5x better.

+1, get the over-axle pipe and tie it in and have real dual exhaust.
