Question ASP Underdrive Pulley

i need to frlee up some more hp from my 4.0 motor....was contemplating on buying an ASP Underdrive Pulley from Stangmods.com...ASP claims to free up 16 hp and 12 tq for $300...also includes all bolts and a shorter belt...

will this affect any onf my other mods...anyone have this...will it mess up my car because it has a custom tune...

i need more power and i am going to get this and an aluminum ds...but i know about the DS

I've contemplated getting UDP's for my car for a while now but i have yet to see anyone on here with them for the 4.0, if it really gave 16 hp (im sure its more like 6) then it would be worth getting.

Would love some info/input from anyone who might know

i just e-mailed ASP, so ill let you know what the deal is...i guues no one has this...i thought it would be a fairly common mod being that it is only $300 and more bang than a Dual Exhaust conversion

As long as u dont have a supercharger the underdrive pully will help. Idk about the power gains but i can belive it. It will not mess up a tune. The reason is because the underdrive pully slows down the speed at wich the accessorys are spinning. Less speed less power to drive them. In other words all its doin is taking down the rotating mass a little bit. You should see some quicker throttle response also.
