I think it will be sweet. Add your headers if you choose to and do your car to fit your personality. That's the great thing about hot rodding.

 

thanks, i think i will just go with the shortys since i would have to shorten up my mid and move the cats. i do have plans to put a CAI on and retune at the same time. just debating aout which to do first, headers or CAI+tune..

 

Do CAI + Tune first then gears and t-lok. Headers on a 4.0 non FI aren't worth the money it takes to buy them and then install them. Even with the JBA shorties with FI won't boost your HP that much. If you do headers get LTs if you want the most out of your exhaust. But on the 4.0 I would just leave it alone and it would be the last thing I do besides FI.

 

used or highly discounted shorty's are worth it. the sound is a bit more crisper/refined and the performance increase will be felt in the low end as they are advertised. you will notice your car get to the high end a bit quicker. these are not big gains but they are gains that i was able to notice. try to find a set for at least under $250. paying more will not feel justified. JMO.

*P.S... i would go CAI+Custom Tune first for sure.

I have a JLT CAI i'm tryin to get rid of, no tuner though. $100 or best offer. I cant post it in classifieds yet but I have posted on several peoples threads, first come first serve.



I'm gonna clean up the filter with a recharge before I ship.

 

OP.... jump on that JLT. good deal.... you'll definitely need a tune to run this CAI though.

what CAI should i get and which tuner..? ive heard good things about K&N and BBK and also steeda.. any thoughts..?

 

A lot of guys use JLT and CL. I have a Demolet (which I think was a big thing back in 2005-2006) which I love to death and I also have that JLT which is nearly brand new listed above. DiabloSport or SCT X3 for tuners
