actually Laterider, the 315hp V6 and 400hp GT has been confirmed by Ford.

 

I've only seen one write up (not by ford) for the V6 update, so I will be a believer when I see one in the showroom. Of course, then I will be jealous and want one. I kept thinking, why didn't I wait and get a Camaro with all that extra V6 power and then I keep seeing them and I'm glad I didn't. The front quarter view of them is awesome, but any angle from the rear is, well, chunky, funky, or whatever. Maybe its time to save coin and go for the gold (gold color that is) if a new v6 is on the way, I DO like the exterior/interior on the new stangs!!!

 

I was actually looking for "4.0 has more torque" which I don't know, or "3.5 wont fit" or 3.5 is Front wheel drive, etc.. oh well

As far as being on topic, the Ford Edge started production in October 06 as an 07 model year...
The Mustang V6 was already out and kicking by then, so Ford wasn't about to spend more money on these cars to retrofit the 3.5 in it.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but the 3.5 (with decent horses) wasn't out at the time of the production of the S197.

So you see, the Mayans fugged up here, they were so mad, they left their homeland...
They're all in the US now, lol.
