Default Shaker 500 question

I was wondering, is it possible to create an auxiliary audio jack for my 06 v6 shaker 500 just like the 07+ have ?

For my g/f's '06 (with Shaker 500), I bought a Shaker 500 from an '08 for $50. But I need to wire the aux input jack to her existing connector and I'm procrastinating pulling everything apart to do the swap. I'm almost sorry I didn't get the adapter instead.

p.s. I'm looking for a standard audio jack, not an ipod specific.
