Default Stripping Interior....

Has anyone done this before? I'm installing sound deadener tomorrow so I'm stripping down the interior tonight. I got just about everything in the trunk removed. Later on I plan on taking out the seats, carpet and door panels. I also need to remove my A pillars for tweeter installation. Any docs, pdfs or other types of info/linkage would be great.

What's the point, you drive a vert? Your floor will be nice and quiet, but the roof has no insulation.

I hear you....at first I was going to get one of those trim ring removal tools from Autozone and decided against it. I bought my car used and there were already some plastic clips missing....So I just picked up a 15 pk of one type of clips and a 6pk of another type...all for less than the trim tool. The ones that hold the carpet down were in a pack of 15 for 3.99. I've done many installs in the past and the clips are always a pain in the ***.

Anything you do will cut down on road noise...plus I hate to have a car that rattles after installing subs. It kills the sound when you have flexing and rattling panels...it sounds like sh*t on the outside. Not to mention doing this will significantly cut down on muffler drone. I'm doing it more for the rattles though.

I have had sound deadening mat from Second Skin for a while and I'm glad I didn't put it in my last car...so it will find a home in my 'stang. I ordered a couple gallons of Second Skin Spectrum spray to go on top of the mat and in all of the nooks and crannies...especially in the doors. That is being delivered via UPS ground tomorrow. They usually don't come until late afternoon so I'll probably strip my car down early tomorrow morning. It shouldn't take too long. Thanks again for the linkage!

Don't mean to hi-jack, but anyone have a quick link to order new carpet for our stangs?
