Default ****ing Winter!

I hit a patch of black ice last night pulling into a gas station and hit one of those poles that sticks out to protect the pumps. Lucky for me and my car I only smashed up the passenger side mirror.

Lucky for me, the stealership parts store had a replacement in stock.
A 15 minute drive in early morning traffic, $120, and 10 minutes later she was good as new.

Like I said, lucky I didn't do any body damage, I was surprised by the way I slid into the pole. Still cost me $120 I could have spent on more go-fast parts. Sucks.

Sorry the pictures are so big. Didn't think to re-size them. I'm running low on sleep.

That's $120 that could have been put towards a winter beater...

I'm up just east of Columbus. We got hit pretty hard, but not as bad as some places north of us. I can't wait for spring either. I'll really be able to play with the x-charger then.

Yeah, you were lucky! Could have been a lot worse. I think I would have put more $$ towards purchasing the Agent 47 mirrors. pascal has them on his car. But then again, it was the OEM F-150 looking side mirror that saved your car!

I already bought these for the stock mirros:

Lucky again I hadn't put them on before I crushed the mirror because they'd have probably been ruined. Now that I got the new mirror installed, I put them on and I think they look pretty nice. Maybe I'll upgrade later.

On the plus side, I only had to buy the one mirror, and I had it today instead or ordering something for later.

Pretty pricey. Anyways, toss up a picture when you get them installed. Curious to see how they look like, especially on a silver
