Default 07 sub frame replacement

i recently bought the most beautiful v-6 mustang in the world (stupid computer won't upload pics, but i'm still trying) anyways i wrecked the skid plate by hitting a large rock and so the skid plate and front sub frame is totalled. now the shop i took it to is saying that they've got to take out the engine and all the suspenions parts to replace the sub frame. however i went on a parts site that said that the tubular k frame for my car is easy to replace their words verbatim "in the o5-08 mustang it can be done in 2 hours with hand tools" if anyone knows am i mistaken by the part or am i gonna get ripped off?
p.s. this is a friends referral for the shop who is supposed the be cheaper than anyone else especially cuz he knows the guy.

Congrats on the ride!!!

Found a procedure, but uses some kind of special engine support:

I'm thinking a dealer might be the best shop for this one, but let others chime in...

Best way to upload pictures is by using a photo/video host server like www.photobucket.com. It's free and very easy to use.
Once you've upload your pictures to that site, there will be four links under your photo. Copy and paste the [IMG] link here to your post.

Definitely get opinions from a few shops, not just the one.

You would still need a hoist to hold the engine while you remove the k-member, and put the new one in. Also, those are some heavy duty bolts that hold the k-member in so a air compressor would make life much easier.
