Default Deals on 2010 V6 Mustangs?

Anyone know the best deals out there for a V6 Mustang with Pony Package? Yes, I know the 2011 v6 has more power but I really want a good deal on a 2010..

One dealer has a Pony Package with MSRP $27,230. Now $22,798 with $2000 rebates.. Is this Good or can I do better?

Orange County.

***That price is with the $2000 Rebates included in it.. So $2432 off Msrp...
I don't know I'm thinkin they could do MUCH better for an outgoing V6 engine.. What you think..

When I bought mine last year (before the '11s were announced) I tried that pitch on every dealer to drop their price. Telling them it was an out dated model and the 10's were already on the way. They didn't give a rat's behind. Most were still selling the PP at $27K. Finally I found this one with everything I wanted and its a Premium, V6 Pony Package, auto, and I got the $3k rebate. I paid about 20K, with tax & license I think I was out the door at about $22,400 something like that. That dealer I got it from is also in the OC (Costa Mesa). What made mine a little cheaper I think is that the dealer ordered it without anti lock brakes, and without Traction control. Also I have cloth seats (which I prefer and was fine by me) but most PP that I saw at that time had leather seats.

One thing to consider on the pricing is that they won't go below what they paid for it. Just ask what is the invoice price, and then you know what is their bottom line. If you push hard enough, you can get it for invoice.

I'll give you one piece of advice. If you can hold out, I would wait till July 4th. Like I said, when I bought mine in May, I got a $3K rebate. It pissed me off that a few weeks later for July 4th weekend (for that weekend only) they bumped up the rebate to $4K or $4,500 (cant remember). So you may get $3K or $3.5K if you wait.

Waiting till July risks not getting the color I want or even 2010 period. Being that the 2011 is weeks away with the new V6 engine I would think most dealers would be willing to deal big compared to last year..

This is true. Life is a gamble. That was the only consolation that I had also. If I had waited I wouldn't have gotten a 09, Candy Apple Red (which I wanted). There were only 2 left in all of So Cal at that time. Plenty of Kona (or Vista) Blues, but no reds.
