Well got to the drag strip finally , since i got the vortch , best run of the night was 13.6 @ 103 mph ! 60' sucked (2.094) due to stock tires and stock rear but this baby has lots of room , still using a safe tune and wide band or a/f never got over 10.0 during each run !!

thanks guys ! , still tuning with VMP , hopefully i can squeeze some more power out of her ,its running rich and 4 degrees of timing taking out (safe tune) now need to send him some data logs and start dialing it up !!

 

are u getting it dyno tuned or mail tuned?

 

mail tuned , if i had it to do again , it would b dyno tuned . I mean i send him all the info he needs just like a dyno ,the difference is on a dyno u can make adjustments right away and see what you got , mail tune i gotta data log which takes about 15-20 min s after I get lap top in car , go to back road , data log idle for 30 sec , then take it to 5000 rpm over a period of 20 sec , then make a 3 gear pull from idle to rev limiter . then email log ......then wait for him to look at it and send me another tune . and repeat whole process till we get it right . and i guess it wouldnt b so bad if I had his full attention , but other customers or getting tunes as well , and he has a dyno running daily , so it takes about a day at best for him t0 respond after i send him the log . i would never ,never ,never recommend a mail tune after going through this experience

I m loving it ! even if i did no more tuning on it , it runs perfect like it is right now ! with tire s and suspension , i think i could have seen some low 13 s . i mean it ran great with 4 degrees of timing taking out of it , if i ever get this tune right , we'll b putting 8 degrees back in ! cant wait to see the number s with that !! my tires and rear are my limiting factor right now , but its still a blast to run , boost comes in at 2500 rpm , and builds up to 13 psi @ 6100 rpm . the best joy to date was running down stock LT1 trans am , i spun my tires ( 2.396 60' time) let off the gas , got back in it and beat him in the 1/4 13.95 @ 103.01 to his 14.29 @ 97 lol i soo wanted to beat him , cause he was looking at me smiling and revving his engine up to around 5000 rpm while we were in the staging lanes
