I'm most likely supercharging!
No need for a new fuel pump, lots of Xchargers and Xcharger Xtremes have been running for many miles without the need for that change. The kit comes with 39lb injectors and new spark plugs.
I have to disagree with you on the nitrous netting bigger gains. I have run both a Zex nitrous system as well as the Xcharger. The nitrous was fun and the car ran great but it is a harder hit when it goes into "boost", and my best with the nitrous was 13.62 in the 1/4 and I had to bump my window switch near the 2,000 rpm "danger zone" to get there. With the Xcharger it is more consistent and I don't have to worry about whether the botle has enough juice, enough pressure, is turned on, etc. So far with the Xcharger (and 144,000 miles on the engine) my best is a 13.35.

Well i have never ran any kind of S/C on my car but we can use use numbers for this. You said the fastest you have ran is a 13.62? i dont know how your car was set up or your supporting mods but i have ran a 12.693 with my V6. I have stock internals just some bolt ons nitrous and a tune. I would post my time slip if i knew how but type in "108sbso" into youtube to see the video of me at the track. I most horse power i have seen out of a S/C online it "Torch's". I think thats his name. He is on this forum. He has 328hp i think. Well i have 323hp but 418 torque (on pump gas) and he had about 50-80 less torque. I cant remember the exact numbers. those are awesome numbers for a 4.0 V6 and there are pros and cons with nitrous and S/C.
I have never been in your car but i have been in plenty of S/Ced and turboed car and its hard for me to believe it hits harder than nitrous. That is one of the goods things with ntirous is it is instant. It hits hard at first then dies a little towards the end. S/Cers and turbos take a sec to hit but when they do they dont die down as much as nitrous. Im sure it hits hard but i dont think it would be as much as nitrous unless you were running a 50 shot.
Either way you cant lose with nitrous S/C or turbo it just depends on what youre looking for. Each one has pros and cons. Nitrous just worked for what i built my car for.
I'm not trying to be mean, or anything...I've had both and I can tell you that the sound of the v8 is more than justified...also, it's really not that much more when you find one used...mine was 18k with 14k miles when I bought it...
I can understand the whine part tho...lol that will be awesome

I was just guessing on the fuel pump. I know the V6's come with the same fuel pump as a GT so i think thats 225 LPH. Thats good the kit come with it. I guess thats why its called a kit lol.

The convertible is a lot heavier than the coupe. A couple should be quicker because of all the extra bracing on the underside to make up for the lack of support of the roof, and the equipment to run the top weighs more as well. Maybe not a full second, but several tenths at least.
And I didn't say that the Xcharger hits harder, the nitrous hit harder - maybe my post wasn't clear. But, the harder hit of the nitrous was tougher on the drive line of the car. I was also only running a 75 shot - which was the most that Lidio recommended when he tuned it because he didn't feel the stock set up could handle the bigger hit for long.
The Xcharger though builds boost right away at the line and I launch under boost in a more linear fashion. Plus I have 10lbs at least all the way to the stripe.

Maybe i read it wrong but im sure the Xcharger hits hard especially if youre launching under boost. I have a 125 shot and i have had no problems with my driveshaft. I also have a kevlar metalic clutch that is made to slip a little when the nitrous hits so its easier on everything. I use the nitrous about four times a month. It might be hard on the engine but i think its easier than being under boost every second its on lol. so far my engine is fine and ive sprayed 100s of times : )
