Default Is it worth it to install an exhaust for a 2011 v6 mustang?

My car IQ is not the highest but I have been looking at exhausts for the 2011 v6 mustang and the only catback exhaust I see available is the magnoflow. The corsa and the borla are only axleback exhaust systems. So my question is it better to install a catback exahaust because it goes further down the exhaust therefore providing possibly more HP? Also is it even worth it to install it because the mustang stock exhaust was already designed to get the most power out of the car?

SO if i were to install an exhaust I would be gaining only what.. 3-5 HP? The only benefit would be the car noise??

I am debating if I should go for the wheels or the exhaust and I am on a budget so anyone's advice would be great.

Somehow I managed to botch this post.

Pretty much you are doing it for sound since the stock exhaust is already duals so there isn't as much restriction as a single exhaust. Personally I would just do the axle backs. What kind of wheels are you looking into getting?

So what you are trying to say is that you don't like the stock sound and want louder exhaust note!?! And that you think you will be able to feel 3-5 hp?

nothing wrong with that, people will notice a nice exhaust note before they will notice nice wheels.

Personally I didn't like the sound of the magnaflow. I'm just going to wait it out and see what other people come up with before spending the $600 or so.

I'm more of a function over form type of person. While I'd like a meaner sounding car, I want to have some performance benefit over the original part I'm replacing. So it would need to have more power and less weight before I would consider switching. Unfortunately there really aren't a lot of options yet for our cars. I'm guessing that will change drastically within the course of a year. I'm waiting for an exhaust shoot out to be done lol.

Thanks guys. I feel the same way hogasswild, if I am going to spend that much money on an exhaust I would like some performance benefit, not just the louder exhaust note- kinda feel that I will get pulled over more cuz I already have way too dark of windows and no front license plate. And yea magnoflow sounds almost the same as the stock exhaust in idle except when you step on the gas.
