Default What would you do?

ALright I'm at the point I need a little more. I want more power and I think it is the lamest thing doing a 1 wheel peal in my car. My Options:

a) X-Charge my current car, buy a 8.8 rear-end with 3.73 gears and T-Lok from newtakeoff.

b) trade in for 2011 V6 Performance package.

not really sure which one will be cheaper, I know the option A will be faster but I like B for the fact I will have a warranty to back that power. What would you do? My car has 12,500 miles on it and I think it is worth roughly around 16,700 for a trade in.

You're gonna get hosed on the trade in.

Xchargers are getting sold at reasonable used prices, so you could get all of what you want, including rear end and tuning, for probably around $4k +/- $500.

The 8.8 rear end already has a T-Loc in it. Look for a used one locally as well.

Or get a 2010 or earlier GT, and have plenty of power, almost as much as an x-charger, and with a 8.8 already in it.

But in the end, it's up to you as to what you want.

Find a good 06-09 GT, then go FI. Or a used 05-09 GT500...

@ Nuke

I would but my whole thing is I really love my 2010+ S197 Body style, I don't think id be happy with a 05-09 even if it was a GT. I love walking up to my car after work and being like damn, thats a good looking car lol as corny as it sounds. not that i dont think 05-09s dont look good i just prefer the newer body

Buy the 2011. I'm guessing the cost of the X-Charger, plus the rear end and all the other stuff with labor will be more than the amount you'll lose on the trade in. Also, the new V6 come with a 6 speed. But since you have a 2010, I'd say just deal with it.

X charger. From the other post about the new V6 engine problems I would stay away until Ford gets it fixed.
