Help with Cabin Air filter frame needed
Hey, all... new to the board, I am trying to put a new cabin air filter in my (new to me) 2006 V6... I bought a new cabin air filter, but the person who owned it before me must have discarded the old frame for the filter, (the part that snaps into the firewall itself.) I have spoken to a few dealerships, and even ordered a part that the clerk told me would be the right thing, (it wasn't!). He sold me the "screen" assembly that is already inside the filter box. If anyone can help me, perhaps looking at thier filter frame and getting me a part number?? I can't imagine that such a part wouldn't be available, any ideas???
Thanks so much!!!

You might want to try a junkyard. If you can find out what other models use the same frame, that should make the search a lot easier, too.
If worse comes to worse, just duct tape the filter in place. It's pretty much useless anyway.

THanks for the reply, I finally found someone patient enough to look through the schematics and take some time to actually listen to me, he found that the part is listed in the "cowl" section, not in the HVAC section... so he eventually found it listed as, "Housing, Front, Pollen"... that explains why no one else found it. I have it on the way now, thanks for the help!!
