Default Howdy from Phoenix

Hey guys, thought I would drop in and ask you all a few questions. I'm currently in a 2004 f150 and I'm trying to sell/trade it for and 05-09 series mustang. I came on this forum to ask you guys for some help. I found out the hard way about all the problems with the 04-08 series f150s after I bought it and this time around would like to be more informed before I make a purchase.
Could you guys inform me of any problems with the 05-09 model years mustangs. Specifically the v6s (most likely what I'll end up with) but v8s too.
Some examples of what I found out about my f150 were
1. Spark plugs removal issues
2. Cam Phaser problems
3. Tranny that fails after 100k
4. running lean with an intake

and and all help would be appreciated.
Now, because you read all this... here's some pics of what I'm trying to sell

Specs: 2" level, grill guard, evolution programmer, sprayed in bedliner, straight pipes, and redneck cold air intake.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

ps: sorry if this is considered asking for tech help (I read the sticky) but I figured I could introduce myself and get my questions out of the way in one thread rather than two.

thanks for the welcome.
@yeti- I've been browsing around but so far haven't seen anything stand out. Do you know of any big problems for the model years?

Welcome to the forums ProZach! If you're looking for the problems of these cars, check the main 2005-2011 for the sticky on how to's and tsb's (technical service bulletins).

Here's the link to look up by model year https://mustangforums.com/mustang-tsb/

The main problem I've heard while owning this car is the dreaded water leak. Go ahead, research "water leak" on the 205-2011 forums, I dare you haha. I haven't experienced any problem as of yet due to shoddy worksmanship other than the fact that Ford hasn't mastered painting yet due to some contaminant issues...

@madstang- leaks seem to be an issue with fords. the cab light on my f150 had to be sealed off and there were a dozen other ways some of the guys on the f150 forum had had water get into theirs. do you have any pics of the notorious places that the mustangs have water get into them so I can check them out when i'm looking at a stang?

The biggest problem I've encountered are seat-levers breaking and issues with the emergency brake during cold weather.

Welcome ProZach...there are some pictures and helpful information about the water leak problem if you do a search in the box on Water Leak. About a 100 or more threads will pop up. I know it's a bite to have to sift through them, but there is valuable information there. The only thing I have experienced is the hood corrosion TSB. I had it fixed while my car was still under warranty.

Oh yeah, we do have some issues with filling up at some gas stations. If you don't hold the nozzle at a 45° angle or upside down, it will stop and not fill up your tank. We have learned to adapt.
