19 city/25 highway with automatic**

I bought a used 07 V6 Premium Coupe w/ Pony Pkg and quite a few
other pkgs. It had approx 56000 miles and new tires were put on
3 months before I bought it. It had P235/55/R17 installed. I have found
like above states that the car came with ZR tires and also have seen where it came with R17. My door jam says R17 and a replica of my original window sticker says ZR17. I know of no reason for this car to have ZR tires except
that in 07, Ford tried to "spiffy up" the V6 Pony.

I would like to hear from those of you who are or were original owner's of a 2007 Mustang V6 Premium Coupe w/Pony Pkg. You probably had at least, what I call "Crager-like" 17" painted alum wheels. Do you remember if you had R17 or ZR tires on the car originally?

I would be interested in hearing from you on what you remember.

Thanks....

OP, I saw your post in the handling section.
I bought mine new in December of 06.
Window sticker=ZR
Door stickers=R
Enjoy your PP.

Edit: Tires are Pirelli 235/55/ZR17

^Same.

z rating wasn't a performance adder from ford or anything (our top end is speed limited to around 120 anyway) but rather it was simple to take GT tires and slap them onto a v6 with the same size rims. Cheaper for ford, and gives the PP owners something extra I guess...

Just a little bit of history... I'm restoring a '68 coupe. It needed new wheels and tires. I found some take-offs from a '05-'07 Mustang on Ebay. They wanted $650 for the wheels and tires. I went for it. They were new Pirelli's (ZR) with the stickers and nubs on the treads...new, in other words. That was a year ago. Fast forward to 2 months ago when I bought a used '06 coupe with relatively new Hankook tires and 53,000 on the odometer. Stupid me test drove it around town. It drove great! After buying it, I got it out on the highway. The steering wheel shook like crazy at 65mph. I could have had the Hankooks rebalanced, but since the '68 was far from being on the road, I threw on the Pirellis. Problem solved. I'll have the Hankook's rebalanced for the '68 which will be a good weather, weekend driver. The only difference is the wheels I bought are silver spoke rather than gray. No big deal for me.

There are those that will call the original Pirelli's square, but for me, they are great.

Doesn't matter. The driveshaft on the V6 self-disintegrates at about 115-120 MPH sustained.
