Default Some Changes

So it was my first day off in probably 2 months, so I spent it working on my car, got to do quite a few things today.

Replaced brake fluid with Motorcraft DOT3
Replaced Tranny fluid with Pennzoil Syncromesh
Replaced Rear Carrier fluid with Valvoline 85w140(hoping to quiet the gear whine down a little, believe most of the noise is the Rod end UCA)
Fixed my trunk latch assembly, remote trunk finally works again, and so does my interior trunk latch button.
Replaced the rubber bushings on the shifter arm, and added the Saleen short throw shifter. Kinda amazed how much of a difference it makes, took me a while to get use to it.

I love to work on the cars in my spare time. Usually I do detailing stuff, but it's all cool.

Just a question, why DOT3 instead of DOT4 or 5.1?

The motorcraft dot3 has a dry boiling point of 550 degrees, which is rather good, I haven't tracked the car yet so there is no need to switch to 4 or 5.1, plus you can't beat the cost of $4 per 12oz.

I'm about to put a 1,000 mile road trip on it, so I wanted to get that stuff done, the last thing I want to think about is my car considering this is probably the longest trip the car has ever took.
