Default PaceSetter Headers

I was looking at getting either the PaceSetter long tube
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pacese...ck-0510v6.html

Or the shortie headers
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pacese...ck-0510v6.html

Does anyone have PaceSetters on their 4.0? I haven't heard much about them and they are new to American Muscle so their aren't many reviews.

Also do I need to do dual exhaust or a tune if I get one of these headers?

Thanks guys.

Tanner headers will provide you a minimal gain... With long tubes you will more then likely have to get rid of the cats and it will sound like straight trash. The stock manifolds are plenty efficient for what the 4.0 has to push out exhaust gas wise... Headers aren't worth it IMO and others will agree.

^^ +1

Put that $$ towards a CAI/Tune, dual exhaust, springs etc.

If your looking for sound and not performance the shorties will give you a deeper growl and the lt's will enhance that even more ( if you keep the cats) but performance wise your looking around 3-5 rwhp

:/ Yes. Lol
Thanks guys, I might do shorties for the sound, but that will be awhile after I get all the other mods that are in the works.

I'll tell you right now they're a bitch to install! I helped my friend with his and it took a good 4-6 hours (well I only helped for about an hour LOL)

They are a pain to install and not worth the performance gains, it helps to have a lift and install them from the bottom , but still a pain!

I speak from experience, I got pacesetter lt's hi flow cats and magnaflow x pipe and magnapacks and it sounds great! It was about 1100 with installation and I did it because I'm going fi soon and I want to get the most out of it. But na as I am it still gave me some good top end and gears picked back up my low end, so, well worth it in my opinion!
