Default 07 GT with CAI but has it been tuned??

Probably a stupid question but I recently bought a 07 GT with the Shaker CAI system installed from the dealership. I'm trying to find out as much information as I can about the car and the mods, so far its the shaker, hurst shifter, and cat-back flows ( dont know what series)

I was looking at the tuners for additional horsepower, but how would I know if the car has been tuned already, sure would hate to spend the 400 on a tuner and its already done, the previous owner told me he bought the car with the "boss package" from the dealership, so I don't know.

Any suggestions?

The "boss package" is some dealer created option so no one will be able to tell you what that is.

Take a picture under the hood and we can tell if it is a stock air box or not though.

Oh, and I see you say it is a GT - you inadvertently posted in the V6 section rather than the GT section

I could be wrong but most likely you would need the tuner ie SCT to read the current strategy on the PCM. When i bought my GT i was told by hear say that it was flashed. I ended up changing the gears and CAI and ended up buying a SCT tuner and a new email tune and reloaded..

My guess is that you still have the stock tune.

Looks like a stock air box and intake to me.

humm so stock intake? if it was your car what would you do first based on the photo? I mean doesnt that whole system (CAI) kind of a kind of work together, i mean you can't go slap a K&N on in can you?

Get a CAI and tuner - you may have to adjust the shield for the inlet coming off your Shaker, but that shouldn't be difficult.

Don't get the "no tune required" CAI - or the K&N - it won't really do anything for you in the way of performance. If it doesn't need a tune, then you didn't change anything (and quite often the no tune required CAI ends up leaning out the engine anyway).
