Default cold air intake question

just about to buy a cold air intake for my car that requires a tune. and im just wondering if it makes a difference what tuner i use to tune it

You can use any tuner you'd like. American Muscle/Bama, Brenspeed, and Steeda seem to be the most popular tuners for our Mustangs.

"You" don't tune it with the tuner, you simply use the tuner to load pre-written tunes. The tuner doesn't allow you to access those parameters of the PCM's tune that relate to performance. Folks like AM, Brenspeed and others that have the license rights can write the tunes. SCT is more widely used. Have you researched the CAI & tune combo's on the AM and Brenspeed websites? Their tunes are some of the better custom tunes.
