No, you can't use his tune on your car. And if you could, he'd have to return his car to stock before you could load the tune.

Custom tunes are just that; custom. They're specific to a particular PCM. Canned tunes on the other hand, CAN work on multiple vehicles but you still have to return the 1st car to the stock tune and even then, the canned tunes are often about 1/2 - 2/3 the power of a good custom tune.

i dont want to use his tune. just his tuner. he gets free tunes so he could just make one for me load it on the tuner because it holds 3 custom ones and then just put the one for me on mine

If you're going to use his tuner, then you have to use his tunes. Even if you had a tune for you on his tuner, he would have to return his car to stock and then you could upload your tune to your car.

Save up some cash, and buy a tuner.

tomcat8692,

The only reason that won't work is because your friend won't be able to keep his custom tune on his car and unlock the tuner at the same time. You'll need a tuner for your particular car to have a custom Bama tune. It's definitely worth the picking up your own SF3/X3 Bama tuner, even with a bone stock car. You'll still see improved throttle response and overall power band gains!

Shoot me a PM if you have any other questions!

His tuner is locked to his vehicle.
One tuner, one vehicle.
Its so the makers of the tuners
dont miss out on cashflow
if one person was to buy a tuner
and lend it to his whole mustang club.
Also his PCM cal code is probably different
than yours. So its a NO on two levels...
