Default Apperance Mods?

So I feel like my car needs some help in the cosmetic section. I was wondering what the best things are to make it look better. The color of my car is Alloy. Which you could do either black or silver accents. And is it me or is alloy a rarer color.

Decals either a boss c, a backward hockey stick, or fender hashes. And I'm not sure what'd be a better color, either black or silver

Im going to look into rims later. I'd really would like some louvers but I'll have to wait on those cause they are expensive for a college student with a brand new whip. And I already have a spoiler and 5% tint on all windows.
Any suggestions are accepted

Hey. Good choices. Id go with some gt fog lights and some silver stripes from front bumper to the back bumper would be sweet too. Or you can go for that ghost look and put some matte black stripes which would also be neat. Black out your symbols? Tint your tail lights or go with some 2010 style tail lights which my girlfriend has on her alloy mustang and they look great. Also you could tint all your parking lights! Check american muscle for many appearance mod ideas. They have many builds you could look into! Goodluck with your build!

Badass car. Talking about strips are you talking about side strips, over the top strips, or rocker pannel strips? Although I would like fog lights those would be hard to install I watched a video and i might consider that later. And I'm going to wait until they come out with th 2013 lights for the 05-09. And i plan on painting the pony on the grille. The blackout lights are an option im considering. Where did you get those side louvers.

Im talking about over the top stripes. The fog light install is a breeze! the only thing is you will have to relocate the horn or bend it out of the way. Good idea on the tail lights i cant wait to see them. I got the side louvers off a site years ago for like 70 bucks.. Cant remember the site sorry If you look around you will find them cheap though. Just be patient modding and dont rush into buying things right away.

A front chin spoiler really makes the V6 front end look alot better. Also, lowering springs make the stance more aggressive looking and handling corners is a lot more fun!

i think rims, louvers and a chin spoiler would be three solid mods that make a world of difference. if you do stripes im partial to silver on a black car. (my buddies gt500 set up sold me on that color scheme forever)

I completely agree. ^^^ Lowering springs will do a lot for your look and performance. I know they're expensive, so maybe it could just be something you're saving for in the future. Until then, a front chin spoiler does a lot for the front end and doesn't cost nearly as much as suspension work.

I think you're already headed off with a good start. Parts are really expensive when you're in college, so save what you can, when you can. Also, give me a shout when you reach 50+ posts and I'll hook you up with our MustangForums discount code. The 6% discount will help take the edge off of the prices for ya!

Oh and congrats on the new car!

I havent really thought of a chin spoiler, how much work is required to put one on. Like id it hard or will I need to take it somewhere to put it on. I've heard and considered lowering but thats a big bone to chew as far as cost and putting it on. The rims I was considering was the GT500 black on silver form AM. Another question was headlights. I was considering adding the smoked halos form AM as well. Has anyone got them or seen them to give me some type of suggestion

I purchased my unpainted chin spoiler from AM and am really happy with it! I went to Autozone and purchased high gloss automotive black spray paint and sprayed on 3 coats. The black paint matches my black side rocker panels really well and it's easy to touch up rock chips. I purchased 4 small "C" clamps at harbor freight, aligned and clamped the chin spoiler under the front bumper (where it goes) and drilled 4 holes for the screws to go in. It was a breeze!
In regards to the lowering springs, I had a few buddies from my car club help out. I was not comfortable attempting by myself.
Other easy AM mods I've done:
- Tail light smoke tint, Mustang 3rd brake decal, front turn signal tint
- SHR honeycomb decklid panel
- Chrome e-brake handle
- Quarter panel window louvers
- "M flame" center caps for my wheels
I hope this helps!
